EMILY LEWSEY

Emily was admitted as a lawyer in 2014 and was called to the bar in 2020. Emily acts for both defence and prosecution in all criminal and youth justice matters as well as appearing in family law and child protection matters.

Prior to commencing at the private Bar, Emily was a solicitor at a prominent criminal law firm. During the start of the COVID-19 pandemic she worked with Prisoners Legal Service assisting prisoners with parole applications, show cause notices and exceptional circumstances parole.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Griffith University. She also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Bond University and completed her Masters of Law at the University of Melbourne.

Emily volunteers at Caxton Legal Centre and has done so since 2014.

Emily is also a member of Beenleigh Chambers located at 3 Main Street, Beenleigh.
